Staff training/development activities are identified formally at the staff development review/appraisal, and are derived from personal and/or Company goals. They are in line with one or more of the requirements below:

keep up to date with new legislation, new
technology, changing standards, practices and

CPUK Ltd provide a budget for training and development (for appropriate internal & external courses/seminars), that enable all employees to achieve pre-set objectives, subject to finances/resources being available. Managers also allow time off for study or examinations wherever reasonable.
Where appropriate, training activities that are linked to external standards, e.g. NVQs,
are encouraged.
All managers must be aware of the training and development policy and be committed to it. They must fully understand their crucial role in the training and developing of their staff and ensure equality of access to any training activities.
Employees on all levels must have the opportunity to assess training and development in line with this policy. Good communication is maintained through the Team Briefs, team meetings, information circulars and other appropriate materials. Above all, staff are encouraged to talk to each other openly
and frequently. |
